While this album is far from the ambient end of the post rock spectrum, it's also definitely not metal. It exists in a place of driving movement and propulsive energy. While there are some calm and contemplative moments on the album, as a whole it delivers a feeling of rising upward and outward. All without a word of vocals. Beautifully done.
